They were great to shoot and easy to photography as you can see from the pictures. We were down by Pittock Lake in Woodstock for these shots. You can tell from the middle picture how windy it was down by the water.
Thanks for a great day you two!
From last week's CAIRN's Next Top Role Model challenge in Maple Nook Cabin. See the fullsized pictures on Flickr.
I had a really cool chance to take some pictures for one of the Pre-LIT cabins on Friday. Their Grandparents for their two weeks at camp had had an on-going theme of CAIRN's Next Top Role Model so their big finale was a photo shoot with a real photographer.
They were are great bunch and really good sports since it was quite rainy at times.
This is the first shot with my test model Tukon.
The finished products in the next post.
If you've ever been to our house you will remember the legendary downstairs bathroom.
If you follow my Twitter feed then you will know that we've been renovating it for the last month (By the way, if you're a blog reader then you may also follow stuff like my Flickr account, etc. If that's the case you might be interested in one-stop reading).
Here's how it all ends up:
First (from touring the house before we bought it)
Then the demo:

And now... (Beth gets the creative credit, I'm the guy with the toolbelt.)
... and he was great!
He had a great ("small but perfect" he called them) band with guy on percussion and a woman doing backup vocals and playing keyboards.
She had a great voice, looked and sounded like KD Lang and she played 3 keyboards, an accordion and a melodica through a rubber hose like that dude from the Canadia Dellarte band.
The drummer had the craziest set up I have ever seen and used the percussion to shape the sound of the music, not just the beats. He was awesome. I watched him more than Bruce.
Topaz's favourite moment, the one she said was worth the ticket price was All the Diamonds in one of the encores. He plays it much differently these days.
Our favourite song off this new album:
I was at Arrowhead Provincial Park on Saturday to help out with pulling an 11 year old boy out of a waterfall. He had slipped and fell and then the water pushed him down so that his feet were caught between some rocks. Once folks figured we could pull him out if we got the angle right he came out pretty quickly but it was a little nerve-wracking for a while.
Thanks to his family for posting this on Sunday:
