Flickr has a new service called Places (http://flickr.com/places/). It allows you to look for photos that have been Geotagged to a particular place.
When I type in Innerkip, ON, the village where I grew up, there are 3 photos that show up but when I type in Baysville, ON, the village where our camp is located, you find lots of pictures. The Number one picture I got is this shot of my friend Len from the Lake of Bays Fire Department where I was proud to serve.
There are a ton of Baysville pictures (totally self-serving.... a bunch of them are mine) and you can see some great pictures from CAIRN.
Where did you search? Let me know in the comments.
If for some reason you were looking to avoid something then there are worse things you could do then check out the Library of Congress' pictures that have been posted to Filckr so that people will help them tag the pictures.
From last week's CAIRN's Next Top Role Model challenge in Maple Nook Cabin. See the fullsized pictures on Flickr.
I had a really cool chance to take some pictures for one of the Pre-LIT cabins on Friday. Their Grandparents for their two weeks at camp had had an on-going theme of CAIRN's Next Top Role Model so their big finale was a photo shoot with a real photographer.
They were are great bunch and really good sports since it was quite rainy at times.
This is the first shot with my test model Tukon.
The finished products in the next post.
Last Thursday was our inservice at camp - a chance to pick up on any concerning areas and make sure that things are going to go smoothly for the rest of the summer.
Part of this year's inservice was a Choose Your Own Adventure hour and we formed the Cairn Camera Club in our hour.
After campfire that night we met to learn about Painting With Light (PWL). Here's my favourite of my shots from that night and you can find the other shots in the Cairn Camping Photo stream on Flickr.
Check out Flickr for some more great pictures from the afternoon at the zipline.
I've posted some of my highlights of this year's Work Weekend at CAIRN.
More on Flickr.
What did you do this weekend?
The first batch of my weekend pictures are up on Flickr. These pictures were taken on Saturday and Sunday at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Port Credit where our staff got to meet each other for the first time and we lead the congregation in worship on Sunday.
Coming soon: portraits I took of my Grandparents for the announcement and celebration of their 65th wedding anniversary.
What was the highlight of your summer?
Submitted by ladym.vox.com.Taking so many pictures and being inspired to try to start to sell some prints.
