Song of the Day: War by Bob Marley
Until the philosophy which hold one race superior
And another
Inferior
Is finally
And permanently
Discredited
And abandoned -
Everywhere is war -
Me say war.
(apparently this is a pretty common SOD)
I think I have a SOD today because I fell asleep trying to remember to get up and find the slides of Sarah Jane and Mike's wedding. I'm going to get them scanned and added in to my portfolio.
Which, btw, means that if anyone is looking for an Ontario photographer for events, weddings or emergency services pictures you should give them my name. I'm going to spend 2007 building up my portfolio so I am looking for subjects willing to trade/barter/etc for photo services.
Of course the best way to build my portfolio quickly will be to sort through and digitize the 1000's of slides in binders around here.... starting with SJ's wedding.
Hey,
There are some pictures up of Christmas.
(lots of practice with my new flash & lightsphere!)
... now if only you other folks that I have talked to about it would get it set up...
- I had a great hour long call with Tomme in Melbourne last night. It has been almost a year since we spoke on the "phone" - his Aussie accent is coming on strong!
- I just picked up my computer about 1/2 hour ago and there was an invite from Inquisitive Chris Young (I forget who used to call him that). So we had a really nice chance to catch up. Sounds like he had a great meeting of the old HPSS gang when he was home for Christmas.

I love the game Carcassonne! Someone made a Gingerbread version of all of the tiles (including the River Expansion). It is AWESOME.
Industrial Light & Magic has an amazing new website the shows you how all of the CG effects were made in the last. Pirates of the Carribean movie. My favourite is the Experience, Ideas Come Alive Section where you can roll over the film and see the actors in their motion capture suits under the CG.
THAT was a good 1/2 hour!
