Dark Miracle
Dark Miracle is a project by Joshua Ellis. It was an internet/public funded project to go to Los Alamos and the Trinity Test site (site of the world's first nuclear explosion).
His writing is great, the Flickr pictures are really interesting but my favourite part is the video of the Dark Hole a store that carries surplus from both the military and the nuclear industry. Ed Grothus, the proprietor, shows an excellent demonstration of how computer power has changed over the years.
